Insurance Firm Launches Churchill Talking Plush

Churchill has appointed Underground Toys as licensee for the manufacture of the new talking plush of Britain’s most famous nodding dog – Churchill.
The soft toy is a replica of the Churchill dog, speaking the famous ‘Oh yes’ catchphrase when his collar is squeezed. It is aimed at adults and children of all ages – in fact anyone who loves the Churchill dog.
The new Churchill plush will be distributed by Gear 4 Games and will be available from June.
Churchill Head of Brand, Chris Watney, says:
“Churchill is one of Britain’s most well-known brands, with its famous talking dog character at its helm. We’re always being asked for Churchill merchandise and this new soft toy means that people can say ‘oh yes’ to their very own Churchill at home.”
Robyn Morgan, Licensing Manager at Undergound Toys, says:
“We’re delighted to be appointed as the licensee for the Churchill talking plush. The brand has great mass appeal across many age groups and we anticipate that the plush toy will become every bit as famous as the nodding dog in the ads.”
The launch of Churchill plush comes after the company launched a series of new TV advertisements featuring Rolf Harris and Roy Walker with the iconic nodding dog.

o The Churchill nodding dog was the product of a staff competition designed to identify ways to differentiate the brand from Winston Churchill. In the summer of 1994, staff were invited to suggest a brand character that would do just that and the Churchill nodding dog was born!

an instant hit with schoolchildren and adults alike
